Sam: I wonder how Dad is doing.
Dean: I'd feel a lot better if we were there backing him up.
Sam: I'd fell a lot better if he were here backing us up.

「親父を援護する方がよっぽどいい」とディーン。「僕は親父に援護してもらいたいよ」とサム。シリアスなシーンが続く20話でいつもの２人らしい会話にちょっとほっとしたシーンでした。ディーンは笑ってなかったけどさー。

John: What's that?
Dean: This thing goes south, just get the hell out. Don't get yourself killed, all right? You are no good to us dead.

go southは「南へ行く」の意味のほかに「失敗する」。自分たちのために生き延びることを約束してほしいとディーン。もう誰も失いたくない気持ちはみんな同じなんだよね…。

突然サムの携帯にメグから電話が。ジョンは偽のコルトを彼女に渡すことを提案。１人で行こうとすることをサムに止められて「もう誰も失いたくない。お前を大学に戻したいし、ディーンにまともな暮らしをさせたい」。ああ…やっとディーンに対しても父親らしい言葉が。ちょっと反省いたしました。

「おやじをつかまえるのは宝くじを当てるより難しい」。ごもっとも！ジョンも思わずYou're right.

Dean: Call you? Are you kidding me? Dad, I called you from Lawrence. Sam called you when I was dying.

サムガ予知夢を見るようになったことを初めて聞かされたジョン。なぜ自分に連絡しなかったのかとディーンを責めます。ちょ…２人が何度電話したと思ってるの～。
